Clement You is a cinematographer based in Singapore. He has lensed a wide variety of productions around the world, from short films to documentaries; from music videos to commercials; from dramas to feature films.

After building a technical foundation in the grip and camera departments on commercials and feature films, Clement got his break in 2018. While working as the gaffer on the local TV Series Kanum Kanum Kolaiyadethal, he was asked to photograph the second half of the show and has been a working cinematographer since then.

As a Director of Photography, he has shot commercials for high-profile clients such as Singtel, Nestle, New York Skin Solutions, Shakura, Herbalife and Ogawa. He has also lensed multiple narrative shows like So Bright 2 (2019), Kisses From Death (2024) and Oh Butterfly (2023) for regional streaming platforms. He was a camera operator on Seasons 2 and 3 of reality series Masterchef Singapore and local director Jack Neo’s feature films The Diam Diam Era, The Diam Diam Era 2 and I Not Stupid 3.

In 2019, he lensed $ingapura, which clinched Best Overall Film at ciNE65 Movie Makers Awards 2019. His work on the global hit TV Series Naam 2 earned him the Best Cinematography award at Pradhana Vizha 2024.

A firm believer that the picture should serve the story, Clement has employed a wide variety of techniques in his projects to help bring his director's vision to life. He hopes to shoot more narrative projects in the near future.
